Civil Engineer Job Location: Longford Sector: Civil
INFORM3 are looking to appoint a Civil Engineer for a busy civils contractor to work on water treatment works project in Longford.
The role involves overseeing civil engineering aspects of water and wastewater treatment facilities, ensuring compliance with design specifications, environmental standards, and strict safety requirements.
Civil Engineer Responsibilities:
* Manage and supervise civil works associated with water treatment infrastructure, including tanks, pipelines, drainage systems, and concrete structures
* Interpret and implement technical drawings, specifications, and design documentation
* Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and process engineering teams on-site
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and water industry regulations
* Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress against programme schedules
* Maintain high-quality standards in all aspects of construction and installation
* Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and technical reports
* Identify and resolve engineering and site-related issues efficiently
* Support procurement and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment
Civil Engineer Specification:
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally within water or wastewater treatment projects
* Strong understanding of reinforced concrete structures, pipelines, and drainage systems
* Knowledge of environmental and regulatory requirements in the water sector
* Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D)
* Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
