Job description: Assisting other members of staff with giving care To promote and assist individuals to maintain their personal hygiene, cleanliness and appearance Assisting the individuals with daily living activities such as eating, showering and using the toilet Utilising equipment to move individuals when necessary Helping tidy the individual’s home or room Taking the individuals vital signs such as blood pressure and temperature Talking to individuals and reassuring them As a Healthcare assistant you will need to: Be able to effectively communicate with individuals Have compassion, empathy and understanding Have a positive friendly energy Reliable Wear a uniform Undertake any other appropriate duties as required by the individual(s) that you support, perform all duties in accordance with the organisation’s policies and procedures.
