Contract: Hybrid Working Options Available
Location: Bupa Place, Salford Quays
Fixed term contract: 12 months
Salary range: £38,800 - £45,000 DOE depending on experience

The purpose of this role is to coordinate key process and risk activities across the Control & Standards team and the Bupa insurance business, including quality checking of the Key Control team and completing control testing. Reporting to management and/or senior stakeholders to ensure proactive compliance with regulatory requirements and the risk management framework.
The Process, Risk and Control Lead will work with management to deliver executive reporting, drive continuous improvement, and ensure high standards of record keeping, data quality, and stakeholder management.
How you’ll help us make health happen :
* Strong experience with process mapping tools such as Visio & Mega to maintain process maps and report regularly.
* Assist with maintaining the inventory of management committee Terms of References.
* Assist with annual committee effectiveness reviews.
* Complete quarterly risk assessments and team user access reviews.
* Perform key control testing and QA on key controls testing team.
* Draft key frameworks, policies, and procedures with senior stakeholders for governance approval.
* Ensure team procedures are reviewed and approved annually.
* Support the Head of Controls and Standards with ad hoc requests.
* Contribute to key risk and governance reporting.
* Establish relationships across relevant functions including 2nd and 3rd Line teams.
* Maintain high standards of record keeping and data quality.
* Adhere to team procedures.
Key Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience in Process, Risk, Governance, or Internal Controls.
* Customer-focused with awareness of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’ principles.
* Proficiency with process mapping tools like Visio and Mega.
* Ability to manage multiple activities efficiently.
* Strong business writing skills to articulate technical matters simply.
* Willingness to travel to office locations nationally (London, Manchester, Brighton, Staines).
* Influencing skills to challenge senior stakeholders constructively.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for confident presentations.
* Attention to detail in documenting controls and actions.
* Solution-oriented with problem-solving skills.
* Ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
