Employment Associate – London
6-month FTC | Full-time or Part-time
Our client, a leading international City law firm is seeking an Employment Associate to join its established and highly regarded London employment practice on a 6-month fixed term contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an employment lawyer who enjoys complex, strategic work and wants to be part of a highly successful team.
The Role:
The successful candidate will handle a mixed employment caseload including:
1. Employment aspects of M&A, restructurings and business transfers
2. Sensitive internal investigations, often with regulatory or reputational risk
3. Employment tribunal litigation, including whistleblowing and discrimination claims
4. Strategic advisory work for senior stakeholders and in‑house teams
5. Cross‑border employment matters, working closely with international colleagues
The Team:
You will join a collaborative internationally focused employment team that is known for its commercial approach and ability to handle high‑stakes matters for major corporates and financial institutions.
About You:
6. You are a qualified solicitor in a common-law jurisdiction with upwards of 3+ PQE
7. Comfortable handling contentious and advisory matters
8. Commercially minded, pragmatic and confident dealing with senior clients
9. Interested in working on complex, often sensitive issues rather than day‑to‑day HR queries
10. Keen to develop within a genuinely international platform
