To maintain cleanliness and organisation in the laundry area. To ensure residents' laundry is managed to the highest standard of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation always ensuring to comply with Hutchinson Care Homes Policies and Procedures.
The role supports infection control, health and safety compliance, and contributes to the overall comfort and dignity of our residents. As well as following compliance set by Health and Safety at Work 1974 and The Control of the Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002.
About The Role
Main Duties:
* Comply with Infection Control Procedures and Personal Protective Equipment
* Consult with Manager that residents and their families have their needs and choices met
* To ensure the laundry of residents clothing is to the highest standard, including ironing
* Ensure the Laundry team collect and return laundry to the correct area of the home on a regular basis, and put away personal clothing of residents in a neat and tidy manner
* Ensure cleaning and laundry supplies are stored safely and used effectively to minimise wastage
* Maintain a high standard of hygiene within the home and adhere to COSSH guidelines
* Maintain health and safety in the home by adhering to the company's policies and procedures at all times, including instructions in the operational policies and procedures
* Take part in training when necessary
* Participate in any other duties detailed by management that may be considered relevant.
* Report and record any breaks or damages to your Manager/or Deputy Manager
* Promote good housekeeping, in respect of health and safety and ensure that there is no neglect of property and ensuring a well-maintained area of care
* Inform Manager/Deputy Manager to place a laundry stock order
* Maintain confidentiality at all times
