Role: Secondary Supply Teacher
Location: Lincoln, Lincolnshire
Start Date: ASAP/April 2026
Contract: Flexible temporary roles (day-to-day, short-term and long-term)
Salary: £32,916-£45,351 per annum (depending on experience and/or qualifications)

Whether your background is in English, Maths or Science, or you specialise in Humanities, PE, Computing, Creative Arts, Technology or Languages, there are opportunities waiting for you. As a Secondary Supply Teacher, you will work in a variety of welcoming school settings, delivering engaging lessons using pre-planned work or your own subject knowledge, while helping to keep classrooms positive, calm and purposeful.
We have Secondary Teacher roles to suit different lifestyles, from day-to-day cover if you enjoy variety, through to longer-term placements if consistency matters more, or something in between. We take the time to match each Secondary Teacher with schools that suit their experience, preferences and availability, so the role works for you as much as it does for the school.
About the school/us
Heart of Supply works closely with a broad mix of friendly, supportive schools across Lincoln and nearby areas. This includes primary and secondary schools, academies, local authority settings and specialist SEND provisions. Whatever stage you enjoy working in, from early years through to KS2, secondary up to Year 13, or roles focused on additional needs, we aim to place you in schools that feel like the right fit for you. As part of our supply team, you will gain experience in different classrooms, meet passionate staff and be supported by a network that genuinely values the impact you make every day.
What you will need:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) & recent UK secondary classroom experience
* Strong subject knowledge & flexibility to teach across KS3 and KS4
* Confident, respectful behaviour management
* Ability to build quick rapport with students and colleagues
* A proactive, adaptable approach and genuine passion for your subject
* At least 6 weeks’ UK teaching experience (including placements)
