An experienced SEN Support is required for a lovely Primary school in the Sunderland area. The successful candidate will work flexibly across the week in this full-time role, spending five mornings a week as a SEN Support Assistant, working with six children in Years 5 and 6 for their learning needs (not ASD). The teacher will provide the planning to follow. Additionally, across five afternoons per week, you will work as a general Classroom Support Assistant. This role will begin ASAP and is long-term and ongoing. The school is mixed sex and has supportive and friendly staff and managers.
The ideal SEN Support candidate would:
* Have a passion for working as a SEND Support
* Have experience working with SATS year groups
* Be able to organise themselves
Although a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification is not essential, it is desirable, and we can signpost you to training providers to enhance your skills.
In addition, you must:
* Have a DBS check or be prepared to obtain one
