Imperial Recruitment are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for an experienced Toolmaker to join a well-established plastics manufacturing engineering team based in Newton Aycliffe.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining tools, jigs, and fixtures to support production.
* Carrying out precision machining using manual and CNC equipment.
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings to ensure accurate production.
* Working closely with production teams to provide technical support and resolve tooling issues.
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
* Working on a three-shift rotation (earlies, lates, nights) with additional shift allowance.
Candidate Requirements
* Time-served Toolmaker or equivalent experience, with proven experience in plastics manufacturing.
* Ability to work from technical drawings with a high level of accuracy.
* Experience with tool repair and modification in a fast-paced plastics production environment.
* A proactive and flexible approach with excellent problem-solving skills.

* Excellent / Competitive Basic Salary £34,000 – £42,000 (reviewed annually)
* Additional shift allowance for three-shift rotation working (earlies, lates, nights)
