On behalf of our client we are recruiting for a Mobile School Crossing Patrol. This is to ensure the safety of children crossing the road at a designated point between specified times. This is a term time only role, working 7.5 hours per week on call, 45 mins morning and same in afternoon. You will need to have use of a vehicle. You will need a enhanced DBS for children on the Update Service.
Role Responsibilities
Patrols need to be sensitive to traffic conditions allowing appropriate stopping time, and not stopping traffic more often than necessary.
Maintain control over children who are awaiting your instructions to cross.
Keeping Stop Sign inverted when not wishing to cross but showing sign clearly to approaching traffic before stepping into the road.
Taking up the correct position in the road.
To use all equipment provided for the safety of yourself, children and all members of the public; especially when stopping traffic in the road.
Ensure that any incidents occurring on site are reported to the School Crossing Patrol manager/Supervisor as soon as possible.
