We are looking for a talented and passionate Sri Lankan Street Food Chef to join our team. The successful candidate will prepare authentic Sri Lankan dishes, maintain kitchen standards, and ensure a consistent and memorable dining experience for our customers
Responsibilities Prepare authentic Sri Lankan street food dishes including kottu roti, string hoppers, hoppers (appa), rolls, cutlets, vadai, and rice & curry. Cook fresh meals daily using traditional methods and spices. Maintain consistency in flavour, portion size, and presentation. Adjust spice levels to meet customer preferences. Follow international food hygiene and safety standards at all times. Keep kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment clean and sanitised. Store food items correctly with proper labelling and stock rotation. Handle food allergens safely and responsibly. Check stock levels daily and report low supplies to the manager.
Requirements Previous experience as a chef, ideally specialising in Sri Lankan or South Asian cuisine. Strong knowledge of traditional Sri Lankan recipes and cooking techniques. Understanding of food hygiene, allergen management, and kitchen safety. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen. Attention to detail with a passion for high-quality food.
