Lead Credit Analyst - Waterloo, London (Hybrid)

Contract: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours/week)
Reports to: Product Strategy Manager
A rapidly growing credit, analytics, and technology business in London is seeking a Lead Credit Analyst. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced, scale-up environment and enjoys working across credit, data, and strategy to deliver impact.
The Role :
As Lead Credit Analyst, you will be at the heart of the credit strategy, directly influencing product performance and company growth. You will:
Credit Policy & Pricing - Build and optimise financial models to guide credit policy and pricing decisions
Forecasting & Monitoring - Enhance forecasting techniques, monitor portfolio performance, and analyse funnel metrics
Market & Competitor Insight - Stay ahead of borrower behaviour, economic trends, competitor activity, and regulatory shifts
Cross-functional Problem Solving - Work closely with data science, commercial teams, and senior leadership to solve complex challenges and design scalable solutions
This is a highly visible role, with direct exposure to C-level leaders and product P&L.
What's Required
Experience
Background in credit analysis for personal loans, credit cards, or other unsecured lending
Proven track record of working with credit algorithms, policy design, and performance analysis
Skills
Advanced financial modelling & valuations
Excellent Excel skills
Strong coding/data capability (SQL / Python / SAS)
Deep understanding of lending economics and risk-return dynamics
