Senior Healthcare Assistant - Circle Health Group
Location: Albyn Hospital, Aberdeen
Hours: 37.5 Hours & Permanent (Full‑time, flexible shift pattern)
Salary: Up to £26,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
Overview

The Senior Healthcare Assistant will join the Nursing department at Albyn Hospital, supporting patient care and team operations.
Duties
* Deliver person‑centred care including assisting with personal hygiene, nutrition, mobility, toileting, and emotional support.
* Carry out basic clinical tasks such as monitoring vital signs, blood glucose levels, and patient observations following training and competency.
* Assist with clinical procedures and the preparation of equipment and materials.
* Act as a role model and mentor to junior healthcare assistants, supporting their development and integration into the team.
* Ensure a clean, well‑stocked, and organised clinical area that supports effective care delivery.
* Accurately record care provided and observations in line with organisational and legal requirements.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent qualification/experience).
* Experience working as a Healthcare Assistant in a hospital or clinical setting.
* Ability to carry out delegated clinical tasks safely and confidently.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to support and supervise junior staff members.
