Job Description:
The Fife Pain Management service (FPMS) is seeking a motivated HCPC registered Physiotherapist to join the team at Queen Margaret Hospital. As a specialist physiotherapist, your role will involve assessment, treatment, and advice to patients with chronic pain, including functional rehabilitation and group sessions where required.
You should have proven physiotherapy skills in various clinical settings and demonstrate sound clinical reasoning skills. Experience with chronic pain patients is desirable but not essential if you can demonstrate transferable skills and willingness to learn.
You will also provide peer support and teaching for students, mentorship to support staff, and work closely with the multidisciplinary Pain team. The role involves teaching, research, service improvement, and clinical activities relevant to the patient group and service development. Excellent communication, leadership, and teaching skills are essential.
FPMS adopts a multidisciplinary approach to managing chronic pain, and this position is integral to the service. Opportunities exist to collaborate with senior physiotherapists to support patient pathways in Fife. Continuous professional development and participation in national networks are encouraged. Ability to travel across Fife during working hours is essential.
For informal enquiries, contact Ros Standish, Clinical Service Lead at 01383 623623 Ext 27022 or Claire Campbell, Lead APP at Ext 23703.
