The Loss Foundation is a registered charity specializing in bereavement support for people whose loved ones die of cancer. The charity is run by volunteer psychologists and mental health professionals, as well as professionals from other fields.
The charity hosts online bereavement support groups and therapeutic events, and offers in-person support across the country through informal get-togethers and walks.
We are expanding our team and seeking compassionate, reliable, and conscientious volunteers with excellent communication skills and an interest in helping others.
Honorary psychologist roles involve co-facilitating bereavement support groups and events for those who have lost loved ones to cancer, with supervision from Clinical Psychologists, along with ongoing CPD and training.
Ideal candidates will have excellent organizational skills, initiative, flexibility, warmth, and enthusiasm for learning about bereavement support. Volunteers will receive scheduled supervision, continued professional development, and opportunities to contribute to research. We offer excellent training and CPD opportunities, especially for those interested in psychology careers. We also welcome applicants with a general interest in helping others.

Applications must include a cover letter and CV, sent to [emailprotected]. The application deadline is June 30th, but may close earlier if we receive many applications. Successful candidates will be invited for an interview.
