Job Opportunity: Band 7 Advanced Practitioner in Neurodevelopment
This fixed-term position is for 24 months and is based in West and Midlothian.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 7 Advanced Practitioner in Neurodevelopment to join the Speech & Language Therapy (SLT) team within the Community Paediatric Service at NHS Lothian. The postholder will support and develop the delivery of the Neurodevelopmental Pathway across NHS Lothian.
SLTs are co-located with Community Paediatric colleagues and work flexibly across bases covering West Lothian and Midlothian. The team is line-managed by SLT professionals in partnership with Community Paediatrics and is part of the Single System SLT service, which facilitates professional networking, appraisal, and CPD.
Candidate Requirements
1. Qualified Speech & Language Therapist registered with HCPC.
2. Experience working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental and communication conditions in health and education settings.
3. Ability to contribute to case management, assessment, and evidence-based interventions within a multidisciplinary team.
4. Familiarity with monitoring and reporting outcomes.
5. Knowledge of national developments in the Neurodevelopmental Pathway and enthusiasm to promote the role of SLT in this area.
