About the Role As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping them to build confidence, develop independence, and engage positively with learning. You’ll work closely with teachers, therapists, and pastoral teams to deliver a therapeutic and personalised approach to education that makes a genuine difference in young lives. Key Responsibilities * Support pupils with SEMH and ASD, promoting engagement, confidence, and emotional wellbeing. * Assist in delivering creative, individualised learning and behaviour support strategies. * Encourage positive behaviour and emotional regulation using trauma-informed practices. * Collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff to provide consistent, high-quality support. * Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and inspiring classroom environment. What We’re Looking For * Experience working with children or young people with special educational needs, especially SEMH and ASD. * A calm, compassionate, and resilient approach. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting emotional development. * Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or Health & Social Care are desirable but not essential.
