A respected construction firm is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Business Systems Support Officer to join their team at their Preston office. This is a key role supporting the smooth operation, security, and development of internal systems across the business. The Role Working closely with the Finance Director and external IT support partners, you’ll help ensure that systems are efficient, secure, and fit for purpose. You’ll be involved in everything from help desk support and database management to process improvement and accreditation support. Key Responsibilities • Provide technical support to users alongside outsourced IT support • Maintain and develop administrative systems and databases • Support system upgrades, training, testing, and data migration • Manage access rights across Microsoft 365 and other platforms • Oversee IT equipment allocation and hardware upgrades • Prepare reports and liaise with internal and external stakeholders • Identify and implement improvements to IT processes • Support ISO-accredited business processes with the HSEQ team • Carry out general administrative tasks including ordering supplies and coordinating meetings About You • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft 365 and networks • Excellent time management and prioritisation abilities • Self-motivated and deadline-driven • Calm under pressure and detail-oriented • Effective communicator with stakeholders at all levels • Able to work independently and collaboratively • Construction industry experience beneficial but not essential Why Join This organisation is committed to continuous improvement, quality, and delivering social value.
