Are you eager to dive into the world of IT?
Q2Q Ltd are looking for an IT apprentice who is passionate about IT and striving to learn new skills. You will be apart of a friendly team of IT specialists that support clients throughout Lancaster, Preston and beyond. They believe in delivering a proactive, straight-talking approach without jargon which enables them to give their clients the best service they can. They have achieved a handful of milestones from 2020 till present such as team expansion, office expansion and they have doubled their number of clients! Q2Q goal is to show up as the best version of themselves and make everything in their power to make a meaningful contribution to both colleagues and customers.
As an IT apprentice you will grow and build both technical and soft skills through hands on experience and learning on the job while contributing to day to day IT support. Some tasks you will be involved in are maintaining accurate records of all support activities, assisting in configuration and supporting users with Microsoft 365. This apprenticeship is exactly what you need if you are ready to expand your knowledge all while being given all the support you will need along the way. You will be given support from ourselves (Baltic Apprenticeships) where you will receive a 2 day training period every 4-6 weeks.
In this role, youll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job:
Provide first-line technical support to users via telephone, email, and ticketing systems, diagnosing and resolving issues across hardware, software, and cloud services.
Escalate complex issues to senior team members, ensuring all service desk activity is managed efficiently and within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Support users with Microsoft Office 365 services and common applications.
Assist in the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of computer hardware (laptops, desktops, peripherals) and software systems.
Contribute to the management of network services, including user access, security permissions, and basic network troubleshooting.
Apply basic security measures and ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legislation.
Maintain accurate records of all support activities, system configurations, and user issues within the service desk system.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation and user guides.
Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and quality of IT support services.
Develop key professional behaviours such as teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and a professional work ethic.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge
Genuine interest in IT
Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 products.
Good communication skills.
Can work well in a team and independently.
Enjoys problem solving.
Shows a clear eagerness to learn.
Grade 4 in GCSE Maths & Grade 5 in GCSE English
Salary, Hours?&?Benefits:
£18,000 per annum.
9am-5pm Monday to Friday.
22 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
Progression opportunities as well as permanent job upon completion of apprenticeship.
This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, well support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification.

This Level 3 apprenticeship provides everything you need to immerse yourself in the exciting world of technology and launch a rewarding career in IT.
Youll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments. With our unique curriculum and one-to-one support, youll accelerate your skills and get the qualification and confidence you need to thrive in IT.
Youll be based full time with an employer and will quickly become an important part of the team. Our training is 100% online, including real-time classes with our expert trainers and self-paced courses created by industry specialists.
