A specialist Alternative Provision in Wellingborough is offering a unique opportunity for a dedicated apprentice to join their team from October 2025. This full-time role is ideal for anyone looking to start a career in education, particularly in settings that support young people facing behavioural and emotional challenges.
This provision works with students aged 11-16 who have been excluded from mainstream schools and benefit from smaller class sizes, structured routines, and tailored behaviour support.
What the Role Involves:
1. Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to help them re-engage with learning
2. Assisting in the delivery of lessons and providing behaviour support throughout the day
3. Helping young people develop social skills, confidence, and emotional self-regulation
4. Participating in your apprenticeship training while learning practical skills in school
5. Working closely with teachers, mentors, and support staff to implement personalised strategies
6. Contributing to a safe, respectful, and supportive environment for all students
Who We're Looking For:
7. Someone passionate about working with young people who have complex needs
8. Calm, consistent and able to remain professional in challenging situationsA good listener and communicator who is open to feedback and learning
9. Applicants interested in education, youth work, mentoring, or pastoral care
10. Must either hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS check
