Job Details
This is a replacement substantive full-time post (though less than full time applicants are strongly encouraged to apply). The Consultant will provide input working to a 7.5 Direct clinical care and 2.5 supporting professional activities work programme.
The rationale behind this post is to embody the trust ethos of wellbeing and create sustainable, sought-after consultant roles within each locality of the trust.
The Consultant will be expected to provide Clinical input and leadership to the Harrogate CMHT. The CMHT work on a Clinical Leadership set model which is heavily supported by junior staff and ANPs. The consultant will not be expected to hold a case load.

This is a replacement post providing Consultant leadership to the Harrogate CMHT.
The consultant will not hold a case load but be expected to work to a clinical leadership model of consultation. It is expected that 2-4 new referrals and up to 4 reviews only would be needed per week .

Experience
Essential
1. Excellent knowledge in specialty
2. Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
4. Able to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty
5. Makes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of others
6. Able to meet duties under MHA and MCA
Desirable
7. Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience relevant to post within NHS or comparable service
Qualifications
Essential
8. MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
Desirable
9. Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management.
