The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Technician & Workshop Supervisor to take on a hands‑on leadership role within their busy and growing operation. This position combines advanced technical responsibilities with day‑to‑day workshop supervision, offering the opportunity to influence standards, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical Leadership
o Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults
o Take ownership of high‑value and technically challenging jobs
o Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard
o Support quality control across workshop operations
* Team Leadership & Development
o Mentor apprentices and junior technicians
o Lead by example in professionalism, work ethic, and technical standards
o Provide guidance and technical support to the wider team
o Contribute to building a high‑performance workshop culture
* Workshop Supervision
o Support and deputise for the owner when required
o Oversee workshop operations during assigned shifts
o Assist with opening, closing, and daily procedures
o Work closely with admin teams to manage workflow and productivity
* Compliance & Standard
o Ensure adherence to health & safety standards
o Maintain accurate job records and documentation
Essential Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
* Minimum 10 years’ experience in vehicle mechanics
* Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
* Experience working across a wide range of vehicles
* Full UK Driving Licence
