We currently have a vacancy for an Asset Management Assistant to join our Facilities and Assets team.
The Combined Authority has responsibility for approximately 14,000 bus stops, 20 bus stations and interchanges, rail stations, car parks, turning circles and a range of other assets that support public transport and communities across West Yorkshire every day.
As an Asset Management Assistant, you will join a collaborative team with 3 other Asset Management Assistants, supporting the Asset Manager in the repair, maintenance and management of the on-street infrastructure and property assets. You will also have line management responsibility for a Contract Compliance Assistant, who delivers frontline maintenance across West Yorkshire. During your working day, you will undertake sites visits, issue works orders for infrastructure repairs and changes, as well as respond to local issues involving all aspects of infrastructure.
We are looking for someone who has experience working with on-street infrastructure, or within a similar asset environment. Our new Asset Management Assistant will be a visible and enthusiastic team leader and will encourage partnership working across the organisation. You will motivate your team, taking a positive approach to their development. This is a part time role, with working hours split across Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

The Role
Reporting into the Asset Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
· Carry out site visits to assess infrastructure condition and requirements, raising and issuing works orders for repairs, maintenance and improvements.
· Maintain accurate asset records, updating internal systems and responding to local issues and enquiries relating to infrastructure.
· Supervision of a Contract Compliance Assistant.

About You
You will have the following key skills, attributes, education, and experience:
· Experience working with on-street infrastructure, or within a similar environment.
· A strong awareness of Health and Safety, with proven experience applying this in practice.
· Experience motivating, supporting and supervising others.
· Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages, with the ability to accurately record information.
· Experience managing competing priorities and working to deadlines.
