Job Purpose:
A pivotal role in identifying and securing new business opportunities within the energy sector in the UK. Cultivating and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, exploring market trends, and developing strategies to position the organisation as a service leader in the UK energy industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Market Analysis: Conducting customer profiling to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the UK energy industry.
* Strategic Planning: Developing and implementing effective business development strategies to achieve revenue and market share growth targets.
* Relationship Management: Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry influencers to enhance the market presence of the organisation.
* Lead Generation: Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through lead generation, networking, and collaboration with internal teams.
* Data Management: Collaborating with technical and commercial teams to create customer account/win plans and maintaining data within digital CRM system.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Working closely with internal teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
* Supporting the wider Commercial team which includes proposals and market analytics.
Skills & Qualifications:
* Essential:
* Proven track record in business development within the energy/utility industry.
* Strong understanding of the UK energy market, including oil and gas, utility markets and regulatory landscape.
* Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Competencies:
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
Work Environment/Conditions:
* Office: Corporate headquarters, Albyn Place, Aberdeen. Will require travel to other company facilities, client premises and industry events.
* Full-Time: 37.5-hours per week.
