Our client, a reputable early years provider located in Ealing, Greater London, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-time Nursery Assistant to join their team. As a Part-time Nursery Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the lead Nursery Practitioner in delivering high-quality care and educational experiences for children aged 2-5 years old. Your role will involve actively engaging with the children, fostering their curiosity and supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and be passionate about creating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the following duties: - Assisting the lead Nursery Practitioner in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that support the children's learning and development - Observing and documenting the children's progress, contributing to their individual learning plans and portfolios - Providing a nurturing and caring environment that promotes the children's well-being, safety, and happiness - Collaborating with the wider team to ensure the nursery's policies and procedures are followed, including those related to safeguarding, health, and safety - Participating in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your knowledge and skills - Maintaining a clean, organised, and stimulating nursery environment that supports the children's learning and exploration To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and experience: - A minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education, or a relevant equivalent - At least 1 year of experience working in an early years setting, preferably in a nursery or preschool environment - A strong understanding of child development and the ability to adapt your approach to meet the individual needs of each child - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues - A passion for creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that supports the holistic development of young children - A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to participate in training and development opportunities - A valid Paediatric First Aid certificate, or a willingness to obtain one This is a part-time position, with a salary of £102 per day.
