What will you be doing?
As Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Tchoukball UK, you will lead the national governing body of one of the UK’s most inclusive and dynamic sports. This voluntary position is an opportunity to shape the growth of a developing organisation and make a real impact in the UK sporting landscape.
The CEO provides strategic and operational leadership, ensuring that Tchoukball UK delivers on its mission, values, and long-term vision. Working closely with the Board of Directors and the Senior Executive Team (SET), you will implement the organisation’s strategy and oversee its core activities. This includes national competitions, coach and referee education, player pathways, and initiatives to expand participation from grassroots to elite level.
You will manage and empower the SET, supporting them to deliver on strategic priorities while maintaining oversight of the organisation’s financial sustainability alongside the Treasurer. You will also play a key role in representing Tchoukball UK externally, building partnerships with Sport England, other sporting bodies, and sponsors, while promoting the values of respect, inclusivity, and fair play.
Governance and compliance are an important part of the role. The CEO works with the Board to ensure that Tchoukball UK operates in line with the Sport England Code for Sports Governance and other regulatory requirements. You will help maintain the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and safeguarding.
You will work alongside a dedicated volunteer network and a committed Board. While the role description sets out our key priorities, there is flexibility in how you deliver impact, and space to bring your own expertise to the organisation’s development.
This position requires an average commitment of around 4 hours per week, with slightly higher demands in the first six months and around Board or event cycles. It is a voluntary role, with reasonable expenses reimbursed.
This is a rewarding opportunity to lead a values-driven organisation, inspire communities through sport, and strengthen tchoukball’s place in the UK’s sporting landscape.
