We are seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor (PQS) to join our expanding team as we enter a new phase of growth.
About the role
As a Senior QS, you will manage and deliver a portfolio of high-profile, technically interesting projects across a range of sectors. You will act as a client-facing representative of the practice, building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors.
This role will allow flexibility for someone to work from our Castlewellan or Belfast office

What you'll do
* Work on high-profile and technically interesting projects
* Take ownership of projects from inception to completion
* Be part of a growing consultancy with long term career potential
* Contribute to the development of a new regional office
* Flexible working arrangement and tailored remuneration package
* Manage full pre and post-contract duties
* Prepare cost estimates, cost plans and tendering documents
* Manage the procurement processes, tender analysis and reporting
* Attend meetings, prepare financial reports, and monitor the status of projects
* Provide strategic cost advice at all project stages
* Administer contracts and manage change/variations
* Build and maintain trusted relationships with clients
* Support and mentor junior team members
* Contribute to winning new work and/or repeat business
What we're looking for
* Degree qualification (RICS accredited)
* MRICS, or working towards chartership and a commitment to CPD
* Strong skills in quantification and measurement, with ability to oversee, review, and undertake internal QA checks with team members
* Solid consultancy experience, ideally with high-value or complex projects
* Knowledge of JCT and other standard forms of contract
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Commercially aware with excellent negotiation and organisational skills
* Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages, BlueBeam or similar
* Ability to demonstrate both pre and post contract QS experience through project examples
