About the Role
As our People Partner for HQ, you’ll be part of a team that adds value and makes an impact by developing the skills and knowledge of leaders and their teams.
This is ahybrid role with 3 days per week at our HQ inDarwen,Lancashire
Key Roles & Responsibilities
As our People Partner,you’llwork closely with our Practice Partners to supportand advise.You’llhelp them build confidentteams and make informed decisions that support their business goals. By offering clear guidance and useful insights,you’llensure they feel supported, prepared for the future, and aligned with the wider business.
1. Support the creation of a positive, inclusive working environment that drives engagement and service improvement.
2. Act as the first point of contact for people queries, providingtimely, practical advice in line with current employment law.
3. Coach and advise managers through all stages of the colleague lifecycle, building leadership capability and confidence.
4. Deliver training on people policies, employmentlawand best practice to strengthen knowledge across the business.
5. Manage a varied caseload, including disciplinary, grievance,performanceand capability matters, ranging in complexity.
6. Lead on restructures, redundancies, TUPEtransfersand acquisitions whererequired.
7. Build strong relationships with Partners and managers to positively influence people and organisational performance.
8. Maintain and oversee people policies,processesand records, ensuring compliance with legislation, GDPR and key HR cycle activities.
The Ideal Candidate
We’relooking for a people-focused HR professional, ideally CIPD Level 5 qualified (or with equivalent experience), who has worked in a similar generalist role.You’llhave up-to-date employment law knowledge and experience providing clear, commercially focused advice to help leaders make confident decisions, often in complex situations. A background in retail or healthcare would be helpful butisn’tessential.You’rea natural communicator who builds strong relationships, can positively challenge when needed, and feels confident influencing at all levels. Comfortable working independently, you can prioritise your workload while understanding wider business challenges and finding practical, forward-thinking solutions that support growth.
