Senior Engineer – Deployment Site Reliability Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Infrastructure Core Products (ICP) – Global Network Services (GNS) is responsible for engineering, developing and operating Deutsche Bank’s group-wide network infrastructure across 2,500 offices in 50 countries. Under the direction of Product Lead, you will facilitate communication and collaboration between leadership and team members to ensure successful business outcomes.
As a Deployment Site Reliability Engineer, you will automate deployment processes to reduce manual intervention, accelerate release cycles, and maintain high availability and performance of cloud infrastructure. You should be technically sound and passionate about innovation, continuous learning, and driving meaningful change.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Designing and implementing Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible
* Collaborating with deployment and operations teams to establish best practices for code management and version control
* Monitoring and maintaining cloud infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance
* Automating deployment processes to reduce manual intervention and speed up release cycles
* Providing training and support to team members on Infrastructure as Code methodologies and tools
* Developing and maintaining documentation for infrastructure configurations and operational procedures
Your Skills and Experience
* Experience working in a corporate global network environment, ideally within financial institutions
* Experience with hardware from Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Fortinet or equivalent
* Proficiency in network automation tools and scripting languages such as YAML, JSON or Python
* Experience with version control systems, preferably Git
* Proficiency in tools such as Terraform, Ansible or AWS CloudFormation
* Good to have knowledge of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
* Ability to work in an Agile environment and adapt to changing requirements
