Responsibilities
1. Ability to read and work to shop floor documentation such as routings, drawings, work instructions and bill of materials
2. Responsible for working to and complying with European Space Agency Standards, processes and Health & Safety Requirements
3. Work to the required process standard as dictated by the relevant area skills matrix
4. Responsible for the completion of all paperwork relating to the operations undertaken, including traceability, recording all required information.
5. Online thermal harness routing, crimping and connector population inline with space industry standards
6. Pre installation electrical checks
7. Inspection capabilities to check crimps and harness routing
8. Blankets fitted as per instruction
9. Mechanical and Electrical Integration of Equipment/Hardware
10. Working on Space Hardware
11. Bonding of bracketry and tybases as per instruction
12. Satellite panel/structure build, rivets fitted as per instructions
13. Bonding of heaters to panels as per instruction
14. Installation of brackets to panels via bolts as per instruction
15. grounding various components to the panel as per instruction
16. Work within a flexible motivated teamworking to tight schedules and meeting critical deadlines.
17. Play an active part in continuous improvement plans.
18. Candidates may be asked to temporary follow equipment to other UK sites and may be given opportunities to work abroad.
Qualifications
19. Time served Craft Electrical Apprentice is desirable but not essential
20. ESA Qualified Electrical Technician
21. GSCE's or equivalent in Maths and English
Essential skills
22. Knowledge required of crimping, splicing, harness manufacture, harness forming, thermal installation, all to ESA Electrical standards.
23. Familiarity and ability to follow shop documentation such as bill of material, drawings, work instructions, processes and procedures.
24. Must have good electrical knowledge and technical understanding.

28. Manual Handling
29. Experience working within an aerospace industry would be an advantage
Experience
30. Electrical experience post any training periods.
