Drainage Engineer - Field-Based
Location: Stockport
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per year plus commission, OTE £38,000 pa
We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Drainage Engineer to join our growing team in a client-facing, field-based role. You\'ll attend domestic and commercial properties, diagnose and resolve drainage issues, and represent the business professionally on-site.
Responsibilities
* Attend both emergency and planned drainage jobs
* Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues using CCTV surveys, high-pressure water jetting, rods, etc.
* Carry out drain clearance, descaling, root cutting, patch lining, and minor excavations
* Liaise directly with customers to explain issues and solutions
* Identify and recommend additional work where appropriate
* Maintain strict adherence to health and safety procedures
* Contribute to brand reputation with excellent service and technical knowledge
* Take part in an on-call rota to support 24/7 service delivery
What We\'re Looking For
* Minimum 1 year\'s drainage experience (essential)
* Customer-facing experience with strong communication skills
* HPWJ certification preferred
* Plumbing knowledge and/or drainage tanker experience (desirable)
* Full, clean UK driving licence
* CSCS card (preferred)
* Comfortable using mobile apps and technology on-site

* £28,000 - £30,000 per year basic salary plus performance-based bonuses
