Senior Programme Manager Location: Woking Contract Type: Temporary Rate: Up to £600 per day Connect2Socialwork are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Programme Manager to lead a high-impact Additional Needs and Disabilities Transformation Programme for a local authority in Woking. Role Overview This is a senior-level opportunity to drive complex, large-scale transformation, working closely with senior stakeholders to deliver strategic change aligned with the council's long-term vision. You will take full ownership of programme delivery, ensuring successful outcomes across multiple interconnected workstreams. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, delivery, and oversight of complex transformation programmes, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities Develop and secure approval for business cases and change initiatives Manage programme governance, including reporting to Programme Boards and senior stakeholders Oversee significant budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and value delivery Drive cross-functional collaboration, engaging stakeholders at all levels Identify and manage risks, issues, and programme dependencies Ensure all projects within the programme are aligned, integrated, and delivering measurable benefits Provide high-level reporting and assurance on progress, performance, and outcomes Work closely with the Assistant Director for Transformation and wider leadership team Lead, mentor, and develop programme teams, driving continuous improvement and best practice About You Proven experience managing large-scale, complex transformation programmes within a public sector or similar environment Strong expertise in programme governance, assurance, and delivery frameworks Demonstrated ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders and boards Experience managing large budgets and multi-workstream programmes Skilled in risk management, strategic planning, and performance monitoring Able to lead within a matrix environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability Why Apply?
