Monarch Education are working in partnership with a primary school in Weoley Castle, Birmingham who are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant. You will be working with a small group of year 1 pupils with Special Educational Needs, assisting them with daily tasks and adhering to their needs. This is a full-time position starting Monday 1 st September 2025, the duration will run for a full academic year until July 2026. The working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Supporting pupils in small groups with special educational needs who are working below national average 1:1 support Provide high quality learning support Differentiated learning activities to stimulate the academic needs of the pupil Encourage learning and making activities engaging Follow policies and procedures in line with safeguarding and child protection guidelines Monitor pupil progress and identifying gap in learning Building trusting relationships with students and prioritising their social and emotional well-being.
