Job Description – Production Supervisor Location: Telford, Shropshire Production Supervisor In this role, you will work closely with the Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our industrial laundry facility, ensuring a safe and productive environment for your team. You will be supported by the management team and fellow colleagues with tailored training. Once your training is complete, you will take responsibility for running shifts and leading a small team of production operators to maintain the high standards of quality, output, and service that our customers expect. What You’ll Be Doing Shadowing the Production Manager and Supervisor during training to gain hands-on experience Developing leadership skills and learning to effectively lead a team Gaining a full understanding of production processes with the goal of training others in the future Maintaining workflow and ensuring production targets are consistently met Implementing and enforcing health & safety protocols to maintain a safe workplace Assisting in production departments as needed Monitoring inventory levels and optimising the use of supplies Key Responsibilities Support the Production Manager in daily operations to ensure smooth running of the laundry Train and develop operators on processes safely and in line with company policies Monitor output and work to exceed daily production targets Ensure timely completion of units with focus on quality and KPI achievement Maintain high standards of cleanliness and housekeeping, including external areas Be responsible for start-up in the morning and shut-down at the end of the shift, depending on rota The Production Supervisor Must have a strong willingness to learn and a drive to succeed Is a team player who engages positively with staff and lead by example Must have basic computer literacy (e.g., email, spreadsheets, production systems) Has natural leadership qualities to inspire and support others Has commitment and loyalty to company values and goals Is disciplined to follow standard operating procedures and policies Has the ability to understand and operate machinery (training provided) Pay and Benefits Competitive Pay: £13.25 per hour Comprehensive training and development support 20 days of annual leave plus 8 statutory bank holidays Employee of the Month recognition and rewards Opportunities for external training packages to expand skills and knowledge Personal development programmes tailored to career goals Safe, modern working environment with strong health & safety standards Free on-site parking Job Type, Hours, Location Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week Schedule: Monday–Friday, with overtime and weekend availability when required Work Location: In person, Telford
