A 42 year old lady living in Salisbury is looking for a an easy going, mature female support worker who has experience with Cerebral Palsy (or other physical disabilities) and AUSLAN (or willing learn). She enjoys markets, clothes shopping, going to the movies and volunteering on a Wednesday with a Permaculture group at Bulimba Creek Catchment. She also enjoys getting out to clubs for meals and to play the pokies. She requires a support worker with a vehicle able to transport a wheelchair when she is out and about in the community. The Role: Personal Care Help with meals which requires cutting up food into bite size pieces Community access Transport Shifts: Wednesday 10am – 2pm Friday - 10am - 2pm (fortnightly) Flexibility to cover shifts on a Sunday Pay Rates (Under ABN): Monday - Friday $52 per hour Sundays - $94 per hour Mileage $1.00 per km per day (maximum claimable kms 40km/day) Essential requirements: ABN 1 years’ experience Disability support work supporting individual/s with physical disability Experience with AUSLAN or or willing to take a sign language course Open Driver’s license Own vehicle with insurance able to transport a wheelchair Live within reasonable travelling distance Able to work in smoke free environment Current First Aid Certificate & CPR NDIS Worker Screening/Yellow Card (or willing to obtain) NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (or willing to obtain) To Apply: If this role sounds like the opportunity for you, please apply with your current resume and cover letter that tells us a bit about you (hobbies, interests, personality), why you would be a good fit for the position and how you meet the requirements.
