About the role:
A consultancy is seeking a hard-working and capable Building Surveyor to join their team. This is an exciting role for someone to come in and join an excellent team.
Key responsibilities:
* Undertake detailed building surveys, inspections, and condition assessments
* Identify building defects and propose cost-effective repair and maintenance solutions
* Prepare and present professional technical reports, including schedules of condition, dilapidations, and building pathology assessments
* Deliver advice on design, construction, repair, and refurbishment projects
* Monitor works on-site to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and health & safety regulations
* Ensure compliance with statutory, sustainability, and building regulations requirements
* Provide party wall advice and prepare necessary notices
* Provide maintenance reports on planned preventative works
* Maintain strong client relationships and provide excellent customer service
* Keep up to date with changes in legislation, industry standards, and best practice
Requirements:
* At least 2 years of experience working as a Building Surveyor
* Proven experience in building surveying within residential and/or commercial sectors
* Driving license and access to your own vehicle
* The ability to work in a team or individually
* Qualified Building Surveyor to RICS
