Overview The Regional EHS Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in implementing and continuously improving TSL’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) culture and performance across a major campus and in future multiple projects/sites. This role provides strategic direction, practical support, and professional oversight to ensure all works are delivered in compliance with statutory requirements, company policies, and best practice standards. Lead and coordinate the EHS function across multiple TSL projects within the region, ensuring consistency, compliance and the highest safety standards. Act as the key regional point of contact for all EHS matters, providing expert advice, guidance, and support to site teams and senior management. Ensure that TSL’s Safety, Quality, Environmental and Management Systems (SQEMS) are effectively implemented and maintained across all project sites. Support the development and execution of the company’s EHS strategic objectives, audit programmes, and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee and mentor Site EHS Managers to ensure effective monitoring, inspection, and enforcement of EHS standards. Review major risk assessments, method statements, and construction stage plans to ensure compliance and relevance across regional projects. Analyse incident reports, root cause investigations, and trend data to identify systemic issues and develop preventative strategies. Provide regular EHS performance reports, key performance indicators (KPIs), and improvement recommendations to the HSQE Director and the Executive Team. Represent TSL in client EHS meetings, joint venture reviews, and industry forums as required. Drive a proactive EHS culture through leadership, communication, and training—ensuring full engagement across all levels of the workforce and supply chain. Coordinate regional emergency preparedness, environmental control measures, and sustainability initiatives in collaboration with the Environmental team. Promote shared learning, standardisation of best practices and continuous development within the EHS function. Lead regional EHS performance reviews and audits, ensuring timely close-out of identified actions. Key Skills & Qualifications Professional qualification: NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent), with Chartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) preferred. Experience: Minimum 8–10 years in construction EHS management, including experience at senior or multi-site level. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK and EU Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation. Strong grasp of construction and design risk management processes (CDM Regulations). Demonstrable experience implementing corporate safety systems and auditing frameworks. Competencies: Excellent leadership, communication, and influencing skills at all organisational levels. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective time and stakeholder management skills in complex, fast-paced environments. Ability to coach, mentor, and develop high-performing EHS teams. Other: Full, clean driving licence and willingness to travel regularly between sites within the designated region. Cannot guarantee work will be local, so must be willing to stay in a hotel Mon-Fri when onsite for the duration of any given project(s)
