Job Title: Tractor Gang Mower Driver
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: Initially 3 months with the potential to turn permanent depending upon performance
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, 7:15am - 3:00pm, 36.25 hours per week.
Rate of Pay: £13.50 per hour
Role Purpose
To operate a tractor‑mounted gang mower safely and effectively to maintain large grassed areas, ensuring high presentation standards and supporting the wider grounds maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
Operate tractor with gang‑mower attachments to cut large grassed and open turf areas.
Conduct daily pre‑start checks and report defects promptly.
Carry out basic machine care including cleaning, lubrication, and blade checks.
Follow mowing schedules and complete all assigned areas to specification.
Safely manoeuvre machinery across sites.
Support general grounds maintenance tasks when required.
Adhere to all health & safety and PPE requirements.Essential Skills & Experience
Experience using tractor‑mounted gang mowers.
Relevant machinery certification (or willingness to train).
Strong understanding of grounds operations.
Able to work independently and follow schedules.
Full UK drivers licenseDesirable
PA1/PA6 spraying certifications.
