Job Title: Social Care Consultant – Children's Residential Services

Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 per year (including performance bonus)

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for driving quality, safeguarding, and positive outcomes for children? We are looking for a dynamic Social Care Consultant to provide expert guidance and oversight across multiple children's residential homes in the South East.
This influential role combines strategic leadership, regulatory governance, and hands-on support, giving you the opportunity to directly impact the quality of care delivered to vulnerable children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide expert consultancy and leadership across several children's homes.
* Ensure full compliance with Ofsted and Children's Homes Regulations 2015.
* Coach and mentor Registered Managers to deliver excellent, child-centred care.
* Lead safeguarding initiatives, embedding safe, transparent, and accountable practice.
* Oversee and support Ofsted inspections, striving for 'Good' and 'Outstanding' results.
* Promote a culture of continuous improvement, reflection, and professional growth.
* Advise on budgets, staffing, and resource management to ensure sustainable practice.
* Build strong partnerships with local authorities, social workers, and regulators.
* Support staff training, development, and performance management.
About You
* Minimum 3 years' senior leadership experience in children's residential care (essential).
* NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or commitment to achieve).
* Excellent knowledge of Ofsted frameworks, safeguarding legislation, and Quality Standards.
* Strong communicator with proven leadership and decision-making skills.
* A genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
