The Opportunity:
* Graduate Teaching Assistant
* B26 area, Birmingham
* Graduates with a 2:2 or above Hons degree required
* Aspiring teachers/educational psychologists/ SEN Teachers
* 1:1 & Small Group work
* Secondary school – rated 'Good' by Ofsted
* Full-time roles – Monday - Friday
* ASAP start - July 2024 - role continuing in the new academic year 24/25
* £450 - £490 per week - term time only
The successful graduate must:
* Be enthusiastic, confident and approachable
* Have strong subject knowledge within English Maths and Science (GCSE A* - C)
* Be able to work effectively as party of a large team
* Have strong communication and behaviour skills
* Be able to inspire and motivate children in the classroom
* Have high expectations and be committed to seeing all children reach their full potential
* Be able to deliver well structured lessons for small groups/1:1 sessions
* Be flexible and self-motivated
In this role, you will focus on managing students during class-based activities. Additionally, you will be required to work with small groups both inside and outside the classroom and lead 1:1 sessions. Furthermore, you will be required to assist the class teacher in preparing and setting up class activities.
