We are recruiting one Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist, who will be aligned within the Information Technology, Business Services and Professional Services categories.
Taking on the role of Procurement & Supply Chain Specialist, the successful candidate will support internal Clients from initial enquiry stage, through to contract award and the publishing of relevant procurement notices.
You will undertake the development of procurement strategies, tender documentation and commercial contracts. You will be empowered to act as the procurement lead for your projects, undertaking the dissemination of bids, moderating evaluations and notifying suppliers. You will also gain exposure to high value and complex projects through supporting the Procurement & Supply Chain Managers. Additional supply chain activities you may be involved in could be market reviews, benchmarking and soft market testing. Every day is different; this is an ideal role for someone who thrives on variety.
You will be supported throughout, the successful candidate will be expected to have some prior experience of working in a multi-stakeholder environment and will need to have the confidence and skill set to professionally communicate with stakeholders at all levels, which includes Senior Management. No formal qualifications or professional qualifications are required for this role.
Our team is one of the largest Local Government procurement functions, providing procurement guidance and advice to internal Clients throughout their procurement projects, in order to deliver value for money in a compliant manner.

*Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will need to ensure they can attend any in-person meetings in Central Sheffield when required, which may sometimes be more than 2 days a week. All meetings are during standard working hours. The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible with coming into the office more regularly during the first few weeks as part of induction and familiarisation with the role.
