If so, Liquid Personnel is recruiting a passionate professional for its client at Blackpool to take on the pivotal role of Responsible Individual / Service Manager, overseeing a portfolio of children’s homes specialising in Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities. What will your responsibilities be?
As the Responsible Individual and Service Manager, you will:
1. Provide strategic and operational leadership across a cluster of children’s homes, ensuring exceptional care, safeguarding, and full regulatory compliance
2. Support, coach, and appraise Registered Managers to foster a culture of high performance, professional growth, and reflective practice
3. Lead governance and quality assurance processes to ensure services consistently deliver positive outcomes for children and young people
4. Oversee the development and registration of new services, including recruitment and implementation of therapeutic care models
5. Maintain oversight of Ofsted requirements and lead preparations for inspections
6. Deliver regular performance, regulatory, and growth reports to the Board
Qualifications & Experience
We’re looking for a values-driven leader who can inspire and influence at all levels. The ideal candidate will have:
7. Proven experience managing and leading multiple children’s homes, with expertise in EBD and/or Learning Disabilities
8. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
9. Eligibility to register with Ofsted as a Responsible Individual
10. Strong understanding of safeguarding, compliance, and current regulatory frameworks
11. Exceptional leadership, communication, and organisational skills
12. Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across multiple sites
