ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Partner on our service counters, you'll have the opportunity to demonstrate your knowledge and passion for food, ensuring it is ethically sourced and recommending recipes to customers. You'll help bring our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers - to life.
You will use your enthusiasm and friendliness to build lasting relationships with customers, positively influencing their impression of the Waitrose brand and fostering loyalty, while also helping to maximize sales and profit.
Key Responsibilities
* Take responsibility for your food counter, maintaining high standards of presentation and hygiene.
* Manage stock levels to ensure popular products are available.
* Handle open food carefully, following health & safety protocols and reducing wastage.
* Stay informed about new products and understand Waitrose's food values, such as animal welfare.
* Support the wider team with general shopkeeping tasks as needed.
Essential skills/experience
* Effective communication skills for team collaboration and customer interaction.
Desirable skills/experience
* Experience in a customer-facing role or in catering/hospitality.
* Interest in food and drink trends.
* Flexible approach to support the branch.

* Hours of Work: 37.5 hours/week, varied shifts including early, late, evenings, and weekends
