We are seeking a highly experienced Analytical Development Lead to oversee analytical activities related to monoclonal antibody (mAb) development within a pioneering biopharmaceutical organization. Based in the South East of the UK, this role offers an opportunity to lead a scientific team focused on advanced analytical characterization, method development, and validation, supporting innovative research projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor an analytical team dedicated to monoclonal antibody development, ensuring high-quality scientific output.
* Develop and implement strategies for analytical method development, qualification, and transfer, with a focus on antibodies.
* Collaborate across teams to support product characterization, stability studies, and analytical troubleshooting.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the analytical function, fostering scientific excellence and efficiency.
Candidate Requirements
* A Degree or higher in related Life Science field (i.e biological sciences / Biochemistry / Analytical chemistry / or related field) plus
* Extensive experience working within biopharmaceutical or biotech research environments, with a focus on monoclonal antibody analysis.
* Strong expertise in techniques such as HPLC, LCMS, cIEF, and other relevant analytical methods, particularly in method development and troubleshooting.
* Proven leadership skills, with a track record in managing and developing high-performing scientific teams.
