Overview
Student Support Officer – The Language Gallery (TLG) College, Birmingham. Permanent role (full time and part time). Weekend work required.
Role includes front-facing customer service and administrative tasks to support students and stakeholders, with a focus on providing day-to-day enquiry handling, advice, and referral where appropriate. The position reports to the Student Services Manager as part of TLG HE administration.
Responsibilities
* Be the first and last point of contact for all students at TLG, handling day-to-day enquiries and providing advice at the front desk.
* Work collaboratively with other student support officers to provide basic advice and referrals.
* Act as a referral point to supply students with support, guidance, information, and impartial, confidential advice.
* Contribute to the Student Services team as part of the HE administration function.

* Role Requirements: Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to provide effective support and guidance to students facing issues including mental health, personal difficulties, and academic challenges.
* Strong organisation and time management.
* Excellent verbal and written communication.
* Cooperative and collaborative approach.
