Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled and safety‑focused Maintenance Electrician to support the electrical systems across our Daviot, Netherglen, and Tom's Forest quarries in the North of Scotland. The role involves carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance on plant equipment and installations, ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and reliability. With a focus on sustainability and cost‑effective operation, the successful candidate will help maintain safe working environments and minimise downtime across all electrical assets.
Key Responsibilities
* Set, provide and maintain excellence in Electrical Maintenance Standards
* Responsible for the standards and ensuring the site work within statutory legislation and company policies and procedures
* Control all costs related to electrical items within the overall maintenance budget
* Develop and deliver investment and improvement projects to increase plant efficiency and reduce energy consumption
* Set technical standards for work
* Liaise with Electrical Statutory Inspection Engineers
* Adhere to and ensure health and safety and environmental compliance with company rules, expectations, and legal obligations
* Ensure proactive communication of potential hazards to the Health & Safety Department and Line Management
* Complete ad‑hoc duties, tasks and projects as required
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Experienced Maintenance Electrician, preferably with an industrial background
* Ability to work with minimal supervision, using analysis, judgement and initiative to resolve issues safely, on time and cost‑effectively
* Demonstrated commitment to safety
* Good organisational and communication skills
* Qualifications and skills to perform emergency repairs when required
