We operate year-round, and due to the nature of the work, you will work a range of shifts covering daytime, weekends, and bank holidays. Your contractual workweek is an average of [number] hours per week, on a rolling rota including weekends. Evening shifts range from 5pm to 1am. Flexibility is key, as there may be occasions when you need to start earlier or finish later. The rota is provided approximately [number] weeks in advance, allowing you to enjoy meaningful time off.
Key Responsibilities
About the Role:
You will visit individuals in their homes to install tagging equipment, working alone or with a Monitoring Support Officer. You'll build rapport, reassure individuals about their safety, and help reduce pressure on the prison system by supporting ex-prisoners to reintegrate into their communities. Each day offers different opportunities and challenges.
You will receive three weeks of training and be accompanied by an experienced Officer or Mentor until comfortable in your role. Due to genuine occupational requirements and contractual obligations, we particularly welcome applications from female candidates, in line with the Equality Act 2010.
What you need to do the job:
We value diverse backgrounds. What matters is your commitment to making a difference. You will learn the necessary skills during your initial training and through shadowing and mentorship. A current valid UK driver’s license, reasonable fitness, and good communication skills are essential for building relationships with individuals you meet.
