Assist the Procurement and Distribution (P&D) Team Leader
Assist the Procurement and Distribution (P&D) Team Leader in ensuring:
1. Safe, high-quality patient-centred procurement and distribution services, including all aspects of medicine storage and medical gases, aligned with the guidance document "Rules and Guidance for Pharmaceutical Distributors" and the Trust’s Wholesale Distribution Authorisation (WDA(H)).
2. The planning, development, monitoring, audit, evaluation, and delivery of P&D services across the Trust.
3. Compliance with medicines legislation and adherence to professional, local, and national guidelines.
4. Implementation of necessary changes to ensure the delivery of a comprehensive, high-quality service.
5. Provision of professional leadership and management for all staff within the P&D services, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pre-registration staff, trainee pharmacists, and support workers.
6. Management of regional and national contracts, ensuring departmental compliance.
7. Provision and documentation of appropriate training for all staff in the area.
8. Promotion of excellence within the P&D department and modeling continuous learning and improvement behaviors.
9. Representation of BHT at regional and national levels and participation in strategic pharmacy technician initiatives.
