Our community cardiology team is seeking an exercise professional to join our cardiac rehab service. This is a job share post, requiring work from Monday to Wednesday.
We are a team of nurses, physiotherapists, associates, and assistants covering North East Essex. Access to a car and a driving licence are essential.
We provide clinic-based, class-based, and home-based care to support patients in improving quality of life, rehabilitation, and managing their cardiac conditions.
Responsibilities:
1. Assist in delivering patient care, optimizing the use of professional time both clinically and non-clinically.
2. Assess patients and develop advice and rehabilitation programs for those with acute or chronic needs, within the competency framework developed by qualified staff.
3. Organize and run exercise classes in the community and virtual platforms, maintaining high professional standards.
4. Work independently under instruction from qualified staff, reporting patient progress and any issues.
5. Progress treatments for delegated patients independently, with guidance, and determine discharge readiness.
6. Participate in audit and data collection, including uploading data to the national audit portal.
