Working Hours
10. 37.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
11. Overtime available most weeks, including Saturdays and Sundays
12. Flexibility required for occasional out-of-hours work
Salary & Pay Structure
13. £20.70 per hour (basic rate)
14. Weekday overtime (outside 7.5-hour day): £31.05 per hour (1.5×)
15. Saturday morning: £31.05 per hour (1.5×)
16. Saturday afternoon & Sundays: £41.40 per hour (2×)
17. Weekly overtime available
18. Paid travel time and company vehicle provided
Key Responsibilities
19. Carry out electrical installations, testing, inspections, and remedial work in line with current wiring regulations (BS7671)
20. Work independently or as part of multi-person teams across various client sites
21. Complete safety documentation, pre-start checklists, and risk assessments for each job
22. Record all work accurately using internal compliance forms, job cards, and test sheets
23. Safely isolate electrical systems where required for maintenance or installation
24. Follow all company health and safety procedures and safe working practices (RAMS)
25. Report any accidents, incidents, or near misses according to company policy
26. Liaise with site supervisors and project leads to ensure work is completed efficiently and safely
Essential Skills & Experience
27. Ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team
28. Skilled in testing electrical installations and accurately recording results for certification
29. Willingness to develop and expand skills across industrial installations, control systems, and instrumentation
30. Strong commitment to health, safety, and compliance in all work activities
31. Previous experience working in the water industry would be beneficial but not essential
Minimum Qualifications
32. Recognised Level 3 electrical qualification (e.g., City & Guilds or equivalent)
33. NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
34. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671) qualification
35. Relevant test and inspection certification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
36. Current ECS/JIB card or equivalent
Location
Ideal candidates will live in or around the South Lakes or North Lancashire area due to travel requirements.
