Job Title: Baker
Location: Leeds
Salary: £27,500 per annum
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Shift Patterns: Varying shifts between 2:00am and 9:00pm, including early mornings, Sundays ( No Saturdays), and bank holidays as required.
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Baker to join our wonderful client in an established business on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, baking, and finishing of a variety of baked goods, with a strong focus on dough handling and oven work. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment that requires a passion for baking, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and handle dough according to recipes and production requirements
Operate ovens and baking equipment safely and efficiently
Monitor baking times and product quality
Ensure all baked goods meet our quality standards
Follow daily production schedules and meet deadlines
Maintain a clean and organised workstation at all times
Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations
Assist with stock rotation and ingredient management
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations during shifts
Requirements
Previous experience as a baker or in a similar food production role
Strong skills in dough preparation and oven operation
Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
Ability to work early morning or late shifts as part of a rota
Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role
Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
